![]() In an interview, Bilson stated, “Darksiders II is looking really, really good. While THQ CEO Danny Bilson insists that the game will be ready by that date, he won't hesitate to delay it if the game isn't ready yet. Really looking forward to the second game since they changed a lot of things.Īlso the reason it is so underrated because for some people, if it's not a so called "AAA" title, it's not worth anticipating and people will be overly critical with it even if the game is pretty good.ĭarksiders II had been in development a long time before getting a 26th June release date in February. Other than the 3 things listed, the rest of the game is great for me. I prefer to be able to fight them using the way I preferred instead of the way the dev think I should. ![]() I prefer the dev to leave the world wide open for me to explore.Īnother issue would be how the dev makes the boss fight kind of gimmicky, requiring the players to use the crossblade to light up the bombs after attaching them to Tiamat, use the gauntlet to slam the train on the big bug, also the portal gun to fight the big guy. The part I having problem with is how the boss will just continue to attack in a very predictable, repetitive pattern, hoping that I can get a more dynamic boss fight.Īlso I hate how the dev purposely blocks of part of the world until you manage to get the weapons (gauntlet, crossblade, portal gun) to destroy the obstacles. I love the game, played the first one and found that it is a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward for this game because of the first game that featured War. Game Informer magazine has the first, official look at Death in its upcoming July issue. You will see great things from this epic game," said Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President of Core Games. "We have taken the best parts of Darksiders and improved on them with a host of new mechanics and features. "This epic journey propels Death through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother War, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders," THQ said of the game's story.ĭarksiders II features a "dramatically larger world" than the original, full weapon and armor upgrade systems, and "bigger and more challenging dungeons." The lead character this time is Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, while the story runs parallel to the original Darksiders. THQ confirmed it will ship Darksiders II in 2012 for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
